MOTOROLA DROID VS NOKIA N97 VS NOKIA N900?
I am going to travel and I need a phone that is fast, has lots of apps, loads pc-like web-pages, a keyboard, a front facing camera, a huge touch screen, dont have to use a pen. I will most likely use the phon for skype. Thanks
All the phones load pc-like web pages, all have keyboards, front facing camera, touch screen, no need for pen, and can handle skype.
The Droid has the most apps. and in my opinion comes in 3rd when looking at the specs. But more bang for your buck. I am reading reviews stating the phone does not work abroad currently ( I could be wrong).
N900 is the fastest and has the best specs of just about any phone. But no 3g on AT&T and no sharing multimedia files. Only concern with this phone is the release date was pushed back a couple of times, which worries me. 32 gig of memory and expandable to 48. Great lens on the camera, the pics and video looks great. Limited number of apps, but the operating system makes it easy for developers to create apps, but not sure that is enough of an enticement.
N97 is 2nd to N900 because of the processor and interface, everything else is the same (memory, camera, etc.), but it does have 3g on AT&T and able to share multimedia files. I have the N97 and I am most impressed with camera and webbing capabilities. It can be slow sometimes. I have used the video calling in Europe and it was better then I thought. But the price is kinda steep.
I would say the Droid is your phone of choice because it is so much cheaper, and if you are traveling in North America. I would go with the N97 is you are leaving North America. But if you are a tech-head, the best phone out the bunch is the N900, Nokia may have stumble on to something with going with a linux O.S. and the insane amount of speed for the processor, it is really fast. This phone has a lot of potential, it I am sure there will be tons of upgrades for the N900, but it has only been tested by people in the industry. I would give it more time so people like you and I can test it.
